’ÄúNever, Never Land’Äù was commissioned by Peter Pan Bus Lines. The Springfield-based company was one of the first sponsors to lend their support to ’ÄúBright Nights at Forest Park’Äù. It was its Chairman Peter L. Picknelly whose leadership in 1995 led his fellow Spirit of Springfield Directors to develop the holiday lighting display which winds through Forest park. His son, Peter A. Picknelly, a Springfield Park Commissioner, has worked to support his father’Äôs vision.
